The Ruins in Talisay

I stared at it for a very long time, this magnificent shell of what-was-once-a-home.  Eleven children, I found out.  And a heartbroken father. I can’t imagine what these walls have seen or heard – it must be utterly uninterested in the solo tourist staring at it that day.

Outside imagination, this is just rubble.
